WCDA defibrillator unveiled in memory of Matthew Farrall

The Whitley Community Development Association (WCDA) unveiled its new public access defibrillator on 28 July. The device was bought with funds donated by the friends of Matthew Farrall, who died in April 2018. The defibrillator is designed to help resuscitate people suffering a heart attack and is attached to the external wall of the South Reading Community Hub at 252 Northumberland Avenue, Reading RG2 7QA.

The Whitley Community Development Association (WCDA) elected officers for the coming year at a well-attended annual general meeting on 13 December. Community development co-ordinator Trisha Bennett and funding and finance officer Mo McSevney also explained in detail what the WCDA does and how it has evolved throughout 2017.
