Basingstoke Road cab driver loses licence over sexual assault allegation

A judge at Reading magistrate’s court has upheld Reading Borough Council‘s (RBC) decision to revoke the licence of a cab driver from Basingstoke Road. The driver had been accused of sexually assaulting a passenger.

Meet Reading’s animal warden at Whitley Wood Rec on 25 July

Reading’s animal warden Lisa Clements is on a tour of the town this summer. She will be at Whitley Wood Recreation Ground, on Basingstoke Road, at midday on Wednesday 25 July to give advice and support to pet owners and to increase awareness of the problem of dog fouling.

Rattle and Hum – South Reading’s Trolleybuses celebrated

They are just maroon and cream coloured ghosts now, their web of wiring long gone; even the posts that supported those wires have been removed from Whitley’s streets, but Reading’s trolleybuses will be recalled in a special event this Sunday 3 June 2018.
