East and west Reading point in opposite directions in the second round of indicative Brexit votes

Children helping children at the Hexagon

On Tuesday 19 March, pupils from 11 Reading schools took part in the annual Children Helping Children concert at the Hexagon theatre. This included students from south Reading schools including John Madejski Academy, Whitley Park Primary, Christ the King Catholic Primary, Ridgeway Primary and Geoffrey Field Junior.

‘Indigenous resistance’ photo exhibition at Pau Brasil café

The Pau Brasil Café on Reading’s Mount Pleasant will host a photograph exhbition showing the life and culture of Brazil’s indigenous people from 15 March until 30 April. The photos were taken between 1989 and 2012 by the Brazilian photographer Rosa Gauditano and the exhibition includes videos recorded and edited by young Xavante Indians.
