Free Heartstart training at the WCDA on 15 December

The Whitley Community Development Association (WCDA) have organised training with Heartstart Swallowfield on 15 December to teach local residents what to do in a life-threatening emergency.

The training is free, but needs to be booked in advance. There are two sessions, each lasting two and a half hours, starting at 9.30am and 12.30pm. They will be held at the South Reading Community Hub, 252 Northumberland Avenue, Reading RG2 7QA.

The WCDA raised money for a public access defibrillator outside the South Reading Community Hub after the death of WCDA trustee and Whitley Pump contributor Matthew Farrall in April 2018. A Club Velocity charity gig in remembrance of Matthew at Readipop studios in September raised a further £600.
