Deck of Cards Charity Art Auction

Knave of Coins from the oldest known European deck of cards (c. 1390–1410)

Katesgrove artist Robert Fitzmaurice is one of the artists who has designed a playing card to be auctioned for the charity, Transplant Links Community.

Robert Fitzmaurice’s design (lot 17) is of the three of spades.

The auction of original artworks will take place at 7pm on 12 October 2018 and bidders can bid online or at Ewbank’s Auctions, Burnt Common Auction Rooms, London Road, Send, Woking GU23 7LN.

The artworks can be viewed at the auction room from 9am-5pm today.

Printed decks of cards can be purchased for £15 and will be delivered after the auction.

Other artists and famous names who have designed a playing card include: Lars Fassinger, Joanna Lumley, Bear Grylls, Sir Quentin Blake, Vanessa Gardiner, Ade Adesina and Grayson Perry.
