Updated plans for the Red Cow public house

Property developers Platinum SA have submitted updated plans to Reading Borough Council for the Red Cow public house at the corner of Crown and Southampton Streets. The pub closed in 2015.

Changes will enhance the preservation of the heritage of the building and include:

  • conservation rooflights instead of a dormer to light the first floor corridor,
  • retention of existing structural timbers in the roof,
  • retention of more of the existing windows.

Planning applications 170291 & 170292 can be found on the council website.
