Former Lok n’Store site sold

The controversial former Lok n’Store site on Berkeley Avenue which we have followed over the years has recently been sold.

Demolition of the buildings took place at the end of 2015 and since then there has been no obvious activity on the site apart from fly tipping around the entrance.

Redevelopment plans for the site were originally rejected by Reading Borough Council. In 2011, permission was granted on appeal for revised plans that allowed Taylor Wimpey to build 112 homes on the site.

For now it is a case of watch this space!
