Katesgrove Primary School held its summer Fayre on 8 July, featuring burgers, cakes, henna, Indian food, a raffle and much more.
“Today was truly wonderful to see everyone coming together, enjoying each others’ company, appreciating and rejoicing in our different cultures and traditions,” said Katesgrove School PTA chair Liisa Ford.
Thames Valley Police, who have been organising mini police with the school’s pupils, let children sit in the squad car. The ‘Djembe Hands of Rhythm’ kept everyone entertained with their drumming workshop.
“Children, the parents and the school staff came together to show the community what we are all about; being together as one,” said Liisa Ford.
