£2000 Reading climate change grants available

By Jason Hilbourne.

The Reading Climate Change Partnership (RCCP) is offering businesses and community projects a grant of up to £2,000 to help to reduce carbon emissions or help prepare for the effects of climate change.

RCCP has already funded a feasibility study and tree survey for a hydro power system on the River Thames, the Reading Food Growing Network town meal 2015 and harvest festival in October 2014, wind turbine tours at Green Park and food growing outreach at Southcote GrowAllot.

RCCP want to help about 10 projects in Reading that support their climate change strategy. There are several examples of suitable projects, together with guidelines and restrictions, on their website.
