The Katesgrove neighbourhood team from Thames Valley Police will be carrying out a community clean-up on Katesgrove Lane and surrounding streets tomorrow, Thursday 15 June, from 1.30pm.
PC Tom Walters said that the event may help to get young people interested in the police and the local area. The nearby Katesgrove Primary School plans to ‘adopt’ the road to keep it clean and tidy.
“The clean-up will improve the image of the area and provide a high visibility patrol in an area where antisocial behaviour regularly occurs,” said PC Walters. “We also hope that it will encourage parents to adopt the streets where they live.”
