New website to help victims of crime

By Jason Hilbourne.

The Thames Valley police and crime commissioner has launched a website to provide advice to people who experience or report crime. Victims First lists support services nearest to you as well as describing the help to which you may be entitled .

The website includes a directory that allows people to find local support services near a given postcode. It provides advice about how to identify hidden crimes, such as slavery, and a tool to report to hate crime. It also describes what help people who report crime can expect from the police and other criminal justice agencies.
