Red Lion pub will be auctioned on 8 May

The Red Lion on in Katesgrove will be put up for auction on 8 May 2017 by agents Lambert Smith Hampton.

The pub closed in summer last year, and in January a fire allegedly lit by squatters in the building got out of control.

The Red Lion dates from at least the 1820s and was once owned by the brewers Thomas Wethered and Sons of Marlow. Adjacent land was auctioned in February by the same agents.
