Erection of 5 storey building to provide 116 student accommodation units (sui generis), landscaping, access and ancillary works, following removal of a 49 space car park.
The car park is behind RISC and the application’s design and access statement says that “the car parking requirements are now redundant”. There is currently also an electricity substation on the site which, it is planned, will be moved (planning application 162379).
The site is within the Market Place / London Street Conservation Area.
