Reading University Students’ Union (RUSU) is taking part in National Student Volunteering Week from 20 to 26 February, and is on the hunt for community-based volunteering projects or services where a group of keen volunteers could make a real impact.
National Student Volunteering Week aims to offer students a wide range of different volunteering projects and services in their local area, giving them the opportunity to see the benefits and rewards of giving up a few hours each week to help the local community.
Perhaps you have a community hall that needs a repaint, or a playground or grass area that needs a spruce up? Or do you know a group of isolated individuals who would benefit from a chance to meet up over a cup of tea and some homemade cake?
If you run a project or service that could use the help, please contact RUSU’s volunteering co-ordinator Hannah Geddes by phone on 01183 784156 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
