South Street is starting to look different with work on the bar extension to South Street Arts Centre nearing completion and the demolition of the Zoar Baptist Chapel.
Approval was given for work at the arts centre, which also included internal refurbishments, in May 2016. The venue re-opened at the end of 2016 and has a full programme for the coming months.
The chapel opened for worship almost 150 years ago, on 22 October 1869. Demolition was allowed in August 2016.
The demolition has opened up a new view from South Street across to the Blade.
