London Street Surgery, the practice of Drs Essa and Harrold, which was taken out of special measures earlier this year, has been inspected again by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) who now rate it as ‘good.’
The surgery had been put into special measures in August 2015, and a CQC report in May this year showed they had improved but had further to go. The latest report states:
This revised rating (of ‘good’) and the improvements the practice had undertaken were achieved at a time when the practice registered population had increased by approximately 200 in six months.
The CQC now consider the practice safe, effective, responsive, caring and well-led with good services for older people, people with long term conditions, families and children, working age people, vulnerable people and the mentally ill.
On their website, the surgery says:
The CQC found all issues and requirements from the visit on 13 April 2016 had been completed, and were impressed with the upward trend of where the surgery is going.
