What does the NHS transformation plan mean for Reading?

South Reading Patient Voice will be discussing what the NHS sustainability and  transformation plan (STP) means for Reading at a public meeting at 94 London Street RG1 4SJ on Wednesday 30 November at 6pm.

The NHS has divided the country into 44 STP ‘footprint’ areas within which health and care organisations are required to develop plans to “drive genuine and sustainable transformation in patient experience and health outcomes of the longer-term.” Local government and communities are also involved.

Reading comes under the ‘Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West’ STP area, with a population of 1.7 million and seven clinical commissioning groups (CCGs).
