There will be a special ‘Space to Remember’ service on All Souls Day, Sunday 6 November, at Christ Church on Christchurch Road.

The curate of Christ Church, the Reverend Dr Elizabeth Ratcliffe, said that the service will offer

… the opportunity to remember loved ones who have died and to celebrate all they meant and continue to mean to us.

The service starts at 3.30pm.

The church holds its Christmas fête on Saturday 3 December from 1pm until 4pm. It will include stalls, shopping and Santa, and Dr Ratcliffe said that it would be “rounded off with yummy home-made cakes and mulled wine.”

If you want to learn more about the Christian faith, the church has arranged a ‘Pilgrim course’ on five Tuesday evening sessions starting 8 November, from 7pm to 8.30pm, in the church meeting room.

“Come and explore life’s great questions in a safe and non-judgemental space with a group of like-minded individuals,” said Dr Ratcliffe.
