The future of Reading’s 111 urgent care service

Reading’s 111 urgent care and health advice telephone line is due to be handed over to a new service provider and users of South Reading GP services are invited to have their say.

South Reading Patient Voice (SRPV) will host a public consultation on Tuesday 13 September at which the preferred new provider of the service, Care UK, will make a presentation and take feedback from attendees. Care UK already run several 111 services in the country.

The consultation will last from 9am to 1pm and will be held at the Holiday Inn, Basingstoke Road, Reading, RG2 0SL. Attendees need to register by emailing joe.winstanley@nhs.net or telephoning  0118 982 2803.
