Heritage open days around Katesgrove

 

The RISC edible roof gardenSt Giles’ Church, the Rising Sun Arts Centre and Christ Church will be open on the weekend of Saturday 10 September as part of Reading’s annual Heritage Open Days festival.

A bit further afield, there are tours at the Green Park wind turbine, the old Castle Inn on Castle Street, the Berkshire Record Office in Coley and a chance to research your family at the Berkshire Family History Society.

There will also be the chance to look behind the scenes at the Museum of English Rural Life before its grand re-opening on 22 October.
