One of Reading’s hidden treasures, the roof garden at Reading International Solidarity Centre (RISC), will be open to the public several times over summer. The first open day is on Saturday 21 May at 12 noon.
This low maintenance and largely edible garden contains over a hundred species of plants. Visitors can learn how RISC uses renewable and recyclable materials to build and maintain the garden and how water is harvested to keep it looking green.
The roof garden is accessible from the back of the building near East Street.
