The Rising Sun Arts Centre celebrates its 25th birthday!

The Rising Sun Arts Centre on Silver Street will be celebrating its 25th birthday on Friday 5 February 2016 with a 1991 tribute night.

Local musicians will be attempting to recreate the musical flavour of the Rising Sun’s first year in a gig called Then That’s What We Called Music 1991.  Start time is 8pm and admission is free, but donations of suggested £5 minumum will be collected during the evening.

Although the building dates from 1877, it has been used as an arts centre only since 1991 and they have launched a collective history website to gather memories, photos and clippings of the centre’s history.
