The Rising Sun Arts Centre on Silver Street has launched a collective history website to celebrate its 25th year.

The centre wants to gather stories and photographs of the building, which was built in 1877 and has been an arts centre since 1991, to compose a picture of its place in the community, its occupants and various uses over the years.

The new history website says :

Whether you were there in the beginning, joined somewhere in the middle, organised events, attended events or indeed performed, then we would love to hear from you, see your old photos, flyers, posters, notes etc and invite you to celebrate with us at events throughout 2016.

You can contribute to this collective history by email at risingsunartscentre@outlook.com.
