This month’s “Classical for Charity” concert at The Rising Sun Arts Centre on Saturday 5 September at 12:30pm will feature original piano transcriptions of music from computer games.
The hour long “Classical for Charity” concerts are held on the first Saturday of every second month and are hosted by local pianist and piano teacher Maija Tuomi-Nikula. They usually comprise of serious music from classical composers but this month will include music from avant-garde games such as Fallout 4 and Minecraft as well as more baroque entertainments like Leisure Suit Larry, King’s Quest and Tetris.
Tickets cost £3 and are available at the door. Proceeds are divided between The Rising Sun and a Berkshire charity.
